Historic Columbia Scarecrow in the Garden Contest!!


Historic Columbia Foundation invites families, community groups, businesses, and individuals to enter its “Scarecrows in the Garden” contest. Enter your most creative scarecrows by Friday, September 24. Historic Columbia Foundation will showcase all scarecrows from October 1 – October 31 at the Robert Mills House and Garden.

Scarecrow entries are $10 for families and $20 for businesses/organizations.

Participants are welcome to enter more than one scarecrow. Visitors can view the scarecrow exhibit Tuesdays through Saturdays, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. or Sundays from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Community leaders and local celebrities will select the best scarecrow and the public is encouraged to vote for the “People’s Choice Award” until noon on Saturday, October 23 when winners are announced. Prizes include cash, trophies, and tour passes.
