The implementation of school gardens is an effective and fun way to instill the appreciation for agriculture and food production here in South Carolina, in our children and everyone else involved. I believe that although each garden will be unique, they will all foster a new element of health, nutrition, exercise, education, and deepening relationships within your schools. I encourage you all to view and add to this blog often, and to share the successes and challenges that you may face. I look forward to seeing everyone’s progress on the blog, and hope that the resources presented and conversations that take place here help to grow and sustain your gardens for many seasons to come.
