Root 4 Kids!

Check out this program, Root 4 Kids, by Annie's Homegrown, an organic food company with a varied line of food products.

Root 4 Kids brings to life Annie’s wish to nurture kids by inspiring families to eat more real food together. Annie’s has always been a socially responsible company, demonstrated through our products, actions and programs. We know that as childhood obesity rates continue to rise, encouraging kids and their families to eat real food is more important now than ever before. Annie’s wants to be part of the solution.

It’s our hope that Root 4 Kids becomes a nationwide movement that inspires kids, schools and families to seek out and eat more nutritious food. We look forward to seeing how big our virtual garden can grow for years to come.

Legare Farms Summer Camp

Legare Farms holds a farm summer camp for 6 to 8 year olds and 9 to 11 year olds. There is 2 weeks for each age group, June 6-10 and July 11-15 for 6 to 8 year olds and June 13-17 and July 18-22 for 9-11 year olds.

Each day is different—animal day, vegetable day, fiber day, 4 Bs day(bee-butterfly-bat-birds), and Friday is just a day of fun. The crafts and snacks go along with the lesson each day.

It is a day camp and we go from 8:30 to 3:30 each day. The cost is $160 per week and we require a deposit of half to hold the spot. Click here for an application.

Legare Farms is a 9th generation family farm locally owned and operated on John's Island, SC.
