Take the Palmettovore Challenge!

The South Carolina Legislature has declared June 2009 as Palmettovore Challenge Month! All South Carolinians are encouraged to join this statewide group that is committed to eating locally grown foods and increasing their support of Certified SC Grown. Participants in the program should also consult the SC Produce Availability Calendar in order to be aware of the best times to purchase certain fruits and vegetables in the state. This calendar will also be resourceful when developing your garden! It can be used to optimize produce selection throughout the year in your school or community garden!
