The History of School Gardens!

School gardens have existed as far back as the 15th century in Europe, and are not in fact the modern phenomenon we often imagine them to be.

In fact, the United States has a long history of school gardens in it's public school system. This video on YouTube by the Library of Congress, gives a great review of the history of School Gardens in the US.

It's definitely worth the watch and a great tool to share with students who are participating in a school garden program!
