Burgess Community Looking Toward the Future

The Burgess Community, near Myrtle Beach, SC is making plans for its future. Natives remember the area dominant by agriculture and farming. Over the years, population has increased and trends have changed. To keep the tradition alive from years past, the community is doing their part in reliving what Burgess used to be. Burgess Elementary School is leading the way, teaching their students the history of the community through the Farm to School Grant Program.
