The Garden Club of South Carolina is sponsoring a youth high school essay contest. This year's theme is, " The Benefits of Community Gardens." This is a great opportunity for our South Carolina students to share the importance of community gardens and supporting local produce. The winner will receive a State Certificate and a cash award of $250. The winning essay will be published in the fall issue of The South Carolina Gardener.
